Sugar – enemy No. 1

Halløj du skønne blog IMG_0959 Du ved det og jeg ved det – at sukker ikke er godt for os. Alligevel er det svært at komme uden om.

Hvis du er fast læser at bloggen så ved du, at jeg har taget skridtet fuldt og og kvittet tilsat sukker helt.

Det betyder også at jeg ikke spiser det “hvide” i form af mel, ris, pasta og kartofler. I stedet spiser jeg grønsager, frugter, nødder og kød.

Ved denne ændring af min livsstil er det nu lykkedes mig at tabe 10 kg. Jeg var så ked af at jeg efter mit rygestop havde taget på. Men nu kan jeg med glæde meddele, at jeg har tabt det hele igen.

Og nej jeg ryger ikke mere. Det at stoppe med at ryge og det at gå over på stenalder kost er det bedste jeg har gjort for mig selv i meget lang tid.

Nu sidder du nok og tænker – “ja det er meget godt med dig, men jeg kan ikke undvære mit sukker og mine kartofler”. Det er selvfølgelig en beslutning man skal tage, men derud over er det også muligt at lave lækre retter som smager mindst lige så godt som det du plejer at spise og måske og bedre.

Jeg har bagt pandekager af banener og mandler og jeg har bagt en lækker nødechokoladekage. Så selv om jeg ikke spiser sukker kan stadig spise kager.

Kunne du tænke dig at få opskriften på denne kage som er helt uden sukker og mel?

Hvis du ikke ønsker at være så radikal som jeg, kan jeg foreslå at du stopper med at spise sukker og i stedet bruger f.eks stevia eller dadelsød. Jeg anvender dadelsød, som er super let at lave. Derfor giver jeg dig lige opskriften på dadelsød:

  •  10 små stenfri dadler
  • ½ L kogende vand

Kom dadlerne i en blender, dæk dem med kogende vand. Blend til en ensartet masse. Hæld dadelmassen i isterning bakke og frys dem ned. Nu har du sødestof klar lige når du skal bruge. Du må smage dig frem til hvor mange terninger dadelsød du skal bruge i mad.

Diætist og forfatter til bestselleren ’Sukkersheriffen’ – Vibeke Lund, udtaler at trangen til sukker og fedt ligger simpelthen dybt indgroet i os mennesker. Og at det ikke er sandsynligt af forestille sig at vi kan kvitte sukkertrangen helt. Hun foreslår i stedet at sukker erstattes af to gode alternativer.

For eksempel af stevia som en plante, som er blevet anvendt som kilde til sukker i blandt andet Sydamerika i mange tusind år. Den eneste ulempe der lader til at være ved stevia er, at man skal bruge meget lidt af det.

Sukker kan også erstattes med tørret frugt selvom at det indeholder frugtsukker. Det er sådan set lige meget, hvor sukkeret kommer fra, om det er frugt eller kartofler. Sukkermolekylerne i blodbanerne ligner hinanden. Fordelen ved tørret frugt er at frugten indeholder vitaminer, det gør rent sukker ikke.

You know it and I know it – that sugar is not good for us. Yet it is hard to get around .

If you are a regular reader to the blog then you know that I have taken the step and and kvittet added sugar completely.

It also means that I do not eat it “white” in the form of flour, rice , pasta and potatoes. Instead , I eat vegetables , fruit, nuts and meat.

This change in my lifestyle , it is now managed to lose 10 kg . I was so upset that after my quitting smoking had taken on . But now I am happy to announce that I have lost it all again.

And no I do not smoke anymore. It quit smoking and going over the Paleolithic diet is the best I’ve done for myself in a very long time .

Now you are enough and think – ” yes it is very good with you, but I can not do without my sugar and my potatoes .” Of course it is a decision you should take, but in addition it is also possible to create delicious dishes that taste just as good as what you usually eat and maybe and better.

I have baked pancakes of banener and almonds and I have baked a delicious nødechokoladekage . So even though I do not eat sugar can still eat cakes.

Would you like to get the recipe for this cake is completely without sugar and flour ?

If you do not want to be as radical as I , may I suggest that you stop eating sugar and instead uses such as stevia or dates-sweet. I use datessweet which is super easy to make. Therefore, I give you right recipe for dates-sweet:

  • 10 small seedless dates
  • ½ L of boiling water

Pour the dates in a blender , cover them with boiling water. Blend to a smooth paste . Pour the date paste in  aice cube tray and freeze them . Now you have a Sweetener ready just when you need. You can taste your way to how many dice date-sweet to use in your food.

Dietician and author of the bestseller ‘Sugar Sheriff ‘ – Vibeke Lund says the urge to sugar and fat is simply deeply ingrained in us humans. And that it is not likely of imagine that we can quit the need for sugar completely. She suggests instead that sugar is replaced by two good alternatives.

For example, of stevia as a plant that has been used as the source of sugars in inter alia, in South America, many thousands of years . The only drawback that seems to be the stevia is that you need very little of it .

Sugar can also be replaced with dried fruit if it contains fruit sugar . It’s not even matter where the sugar comes from, whether it is fruit or potatoes. Sugar molecules in the bloodstream are similar. The advantage of dried fruit is the fruit contains vitamins, it does not pure sugar .
