Diet high in protein and low in fat equal weight loss

Som du ved er jeg i fuld gang med min bikini bootcamp og ifølge den skal jeg spise mest kød og grønt. Jeg skal faktisk spise kød til morgenmad. Ja – til morgenmad – det kan man lære.

Jeg synes godt nok det lød voldsomt og tænkte kan det nu passe – måske tænker du lige sådan? Men en ny europæisk studie bekræfter at vi skal have en kost med et højt indhold af proteiner og lavt indhold af fedt (det er til gengæld ingen nyhed) for at få vægttab.

Selvom det lyder mærkeligt, så er det ikke desto mindre rigtigt, at du meget gerne må spise store mængder af magert kød og andre proteinrige fødevarer, når du skal ned i vægt.

Du skal skære ned på fedtet og de hurtige kulhydrater, og spise flere proteinrige fødevarer – så taber du dig og for lavere risiko for hjertekarsygdom,” skriver læge og professor Arne Astrup på hans officielle facebook-side. Han er en af de danske forskere, der har deltaget i det europæiske studie, der er blevet offentliggjort på PubMed.gov – US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health.

Derfor er protein så godt
Der er flere gode grunde til, at et højt indhold af protein, er den rigtige vej mod dit vægttab.

-For det første mætter protein godt og længe, og det tager noget længere tid for din krop at forbrænde det. Det ligger altså længere tid i maven. Herudover så koster det kroppen mere at forbrænde protein. Altså øger du din egen forbrænding mærkbart på et måltid, der er proteinrigt, i forhold til et måltid der er rigt på kulhydrater, forklarer diætist Lisa Bolting.

Diætisten  anbefaler, at 25 % af dine daglige kalorier komme fra protein, og måske endda lidt mere, når det handler om vægttab.
Når du taber dig, er det væsentligt, at det er af dit fedtvæv, du reducerer. Det sikrer du ved at have et højt indhold af protein i kroppen gennem hele dagen. Hvis indholdet er lavt, så vil kroppen tære på dit muskelvæv, og du vil få en lavere grundforbrænding. Det i sig selv er ikke smart til vægttab, fastslår Lisa Bolting.

Her finder du proteinet
Du finder primært proteinet i magert kød, fjerkræ, mager fisk, magre mælke- og surmælksprodukter og de vegetariske bønner, linser, kikærter og quinoa. Samtidig så giver det høje indhold af protein mulighed for at reducere det mættede fedt og det betyder altså noget positivt på forebyggelsen af hjertekarsygdomme, siger Lisa Bolting.

Så konklusionen er at det er det helt rigtige jeg er i gang med. Og det kan jeg så i øvrigt godt mærke og se.

Jeg ved godt at min blog lige i øjeblikket handler meget om min bikini bootcamp, men det er jo også den som fylder en del i min hverdag i øjeblikket. Det bliver bedre når bootcampen er ovre og jeg bare skal holde det hele ved lige.

I think it sounded crazzy and thought  “is that true” – maybe think you just like me? But a new European study confirms that we should have a diet high in protein and low in fat (it is, however, no news) in order to get the best weight loss.

Although it sounds strange, it is nevertheless true that you are more than welcome to eat large amounts of lean meats and other protein-rich foods when you need to lose weight.

You need to cut down on fat and fast carbs and eat more protein-rich foods – then you lose  weight and lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, “writes physician and Professor Arne Astrup on his official facebook page. He is one of the Danish researchers who participated in the European study, which was published on PubMed.gov – U.S. National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health.

Therefore, the protein is good for you

There are several good reasons why a high content of protein is the right way to your weight loss.

I know that my blog at the moment is very much about my bikini boot camp, but it is also one that takes up a lot in my life at the moment. It gets better when boot camp is over and I just have to keep everything up to date.
