A stressful life – jeg synes det er på tide jeg giver en update på min situation.

Hvis du er fast læser af bloggen, så ved du at jeg i starten af 2016 mere end knækkede elastikken – eller rettere gik godt og grundig ned med stress.

Nu har jeg været tilbage i trædemøllen i næsten en måned og jeg synes derfor jeg vil dele med dig hvordan jeg håndterer en stresset hverdag.

Selv om jeg synes jeg er kommet oven på igen, så ved jeg at jeg stadig skal passe på. Jeg er endnu ikke 100 meter mester.

Derfor sørger jeg for at få slappet af når jeg kommer hjem fra arbejde og få ladet batterierne op til morgendagens udfordringer.

Det betyder også at jeg sørger for at gå i seng og få min søvn. Det er meget skadeligt at skære ned på nattesøvnen, ikke kun i forhold til stres men også i forhold til træt hud. Huden gennemfører nogle meget vigtige reparations processer om natten.

Noget andet jeg også gør for at hjælpe mig selv og for at undgå at blive stresset er at jeg planlægger. Jeg planlægger alt, lige fra pligter, indkøb, afslapning, blogging og søvn.

På den måde undgår jeg at stresse over alt det jeg skal nå. Sandheden er jo at det handler om at prioriterer. Der er 24 timer i døgnet og jeg ved hvor længe jeg skal være på arbejde og hvor lang tid jeg skal bruge på at pendle.

Så er det et simpelt regnestykke at regne ud hvor mange timer jeg har til at sove, og her skal der være plads til 8 timers søvn. Og nej – det er ikke for meget, det er hvad et almindelig sundt menneske skal have for at kunne blive ved med at være sund og rask.

For mig betyder det at jeg gennemsnitlig har 4 timer på hverdage til at  slappe af, købe ind, lave mad og spise, blogge, læse bøger, se fjernsyn eller hygge med veninderne.

Jeg klager ikke, jeg er jo single og skal kun tage hensyn til mig selv. Jeg tror de fleste mennesker har nogenlunde lige så mange timer i hverdagene. Har man små børn får de 4 timer meget hurtig ben at gå på,  og der er meget mindre egen tid.

Det har hjulpet mig meget at være bevidst om hvor meget tid jeg har i hverdagene til at nå det jeg gerne vil. Derfor planlægger jeg min tid, så ved jeg hvad og hvornår jeg har tid til de forskelllige ting. Og den viden betyder at jeg ikke skal stresse fordi jeg ved hvornår jeg skal gøre de forskelllige ting.

Jeg ved ikke om jeg bliver ved med denne stramme styring, men lige nu sikre det at jeg ikke stresser. Jeg styre min tid på arbejdet på samme måde, ved at planlægge min dag og afsætte tid i kalenderen til at udføre de forskellige opgaver. Hvordan undgår du at blive stresset?

A stressful life – I think it’s about time I give an update on my situation.

If you are a regular reader of the blog, then you know that in the beginning of 2016 more than just brok my  rubber band – or rather went well and thoroughly down with stress.

Now I have been back in the treadmill for almost a month and I think therefore I will share with you how I handle the stresses of my everyday life.

Although I think I have come through, so I know that I still need to be careful. I am not yet 100 meters champion.

Therefore, I make sure to get relaxed every day when I come home from work and recharge my batteries for tomorrow’s challenges.

That also means that I make sure to go to bed and get my sleep. It is very harmful to cut down on your sleep at night, not only in relation to stress but also in relation to the skin. The skin implement some very important repair processes at night.

Something else I do to help myself and avoid being stressed out is that I plan. I plan everything from chores, shopping, relaxation, blogging and sleep.

In that way I avoid stressing about everything I need to achieve. The truth is that it’s all about prioritizing. There are 24 hours a day and I know how long I’ll be at work and how long I need to commute.

Then it is a simple calculation to figure out how many hours I have to sleep, there have be room for 8 hours of sleep. And no – it’s not too much, that’s what a normal healthy human being should have to continue to be healthy.

For me it means that I on average have 4 hours on weekdays to relax, shop, cook and eat, blogging, reading books, watching TV or hanging out with my friends.

I’m not complaining, I’m single and must take into account only myself. I think most people have about as many hours as I do on weekdays. If you have small children the the four hours get very fast legs to walk on, and there is much less own time.

It helped me a lot to be conscious of how much time I have every day to achieve what I want. Therefore, I plan my time so I know what and when I have time for the whole field of things. And that knowledge means I do not stress because I know when I have to do the whole field of things.

I do not know if I will  continue this tight control, but right now the control ensures that I do not stress. I manage my working time in the same way, by scheduling my day and set aside time in the calendar to perform the various tasks. How do you avoid becoming stressed?
